Friends of Kevin Geary set for town hall meeting

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

The Friends of Kevin Geary Committee will host a town hall meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, to hear from residents on their wants and needs for the community.

The event will be at 264 Main St., Sugar Grove, the former site of the parish offices of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Refreshments will be served. It is a free event, and people may bring their children.

Geary is running for village president in Sugar Grove.

"This is another opportunity for me to listen to, and to understand, the people who elect us to office," Geary said in a news release. "Our first event in January, at the Sugar Grove Community House, was a success. Many folks who attended that one asked for another event so they could bring their friends, family, and neighbors."

Geary was elected as a village trustee in 1999 and re-elected three times since.
