Authorities have located a missing senior citizen from the Aurora area, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.

Jesus Zapeda, 84, was located near Route 31 and Washington Street in downtown Oswego.    The release states Zapeda was unharmed and told police that he "wanted to walk to Mexico. "

He had been last seen at 3 a.m. today at his home in the 700 block of South Calhoun Street in Aurora Township. Police were called to the home at 5:30 a.m., responding to a call for a "senior citizen with dementia who wandered off," according to the release.
