St. Charles Toyota/Kane County Chronicle Batavia girls basketball player Liza Fruendt

Batavia junior girls basketball player Liza Fruendt was presented with a check by St. Charles Toyota’s Michael Alf for $500 to Batavia High School on Feb. 25 for winning the January voting period for St. Charles Toyota/Kane County Chronicle Athlete of the Month. Fruendt averaged 19.7 points a game on the season and also led the Bulldogs in steals and assists. She was recently named an Illinois Basketball Coaches Association third-team All-State selection. Voting for Athlete of the Month takes place each month throughout the school year at KCChronicle.com and stcharlestoyota.net.
