Face Time with Carol Hedgren

Sugar Grove resident Carol Hedgren, 50, was working at the Salvation Army in St. Charles when she answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? All over Kansas and Missouri, but I graduated from school in Wichita.

Pets? A golden retriever named Delaney

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Audrey Hepburn

First job? Working at a church camp

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I probably wanted to be a missionary, and I sort of am in my own country.

A book you’d recommend? I always recommend the Bible – it’s the best book ever.

Favorite charity? Salvation Army

Do you play an instrument? Coronet, and I sing.

Hobbies? Scrapbooking and running

Favorite local restaurant? Olive Garden in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I can do voices like Donald Duck and imitate the Coffee Talk Lady on “Saturday Night Live.”
