St. Charles resident Jessica Impson, 38, was working as the general manager at Heritage Prairie Farm in Campton Township when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? I was born and raised on a farm in Salisbury, in southern Illinois, until I was 12. And then we moved to Downers Grove.

Pets? A schnoodle named Jet

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Rachel McAdams

First job? Burger King when I was 14

A book you’d recommend? “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay

Favorite charity? Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva

Hobbies? Exercising, gardening, getting my hands dirty, playing with kids

Favorite local restaurant? Wok ‘n’ Fire in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I mountain-biked down a volcano in Maui, and I’ve hiked the Smoky Mountains. And I’m a mother of four.
