District 304 holds hearing on virtual online charter school
GENEVA – What if they gave a party and the guest of honor did not show up?
That is kind of what happened Monday at Geneva School District 304’s public hearing on an application to establish an online charter school: Virtual Learning Solutions, which made the application, was a no-show at the hearing.
In its Feb. 14 application to District 304, the company recited state law that requires the district to hold a public hearing within 45 days and to issue a decision within 30 days of the hearing.
