Downtown Geneva gas station burglarized

GENEVA – Police are investigating the apparent burglary of a gas station near Geneva’s Metra station.
Geneva police said someone apparently smashed a glass window at the Citgo gas station and convenience store in the 600 block of South First Street (Route 31).

Police said the incident is believed to have occurred before 5 a.m. Friday.

Police said a cash register was taken from the store. Geneva Police Cmdr. Julie Nash said Monday that approximately $150 had been stolen.
