Winter weather advisory in effect
A winter weather advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. for a mix of sleet, snow and freezing rain. The National Weather Service warns that periods of sleet, snow and freezing rain will be possible.
"Heavy sleet could fall through mid-morning, creating slippery conditions and significantly impacting the morning commute," the advisory states.
The advisory urges drivers to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
