Police in Sugar Grove seek information about truck that hit bridge

SUGAR GROVE – Police in Sugar Grove are seeking information about an incident Tuesday in which a truck carrying a tall piece of equipment caused damage to a bridge.

The Sugar Grove Police Department on Wednesday issued a news release seeking witnesses to the incident, which took place at 2:56 p.m. Tuesday. Sugar Grove police Detective Steve Kurzawa said reports indicate the truck was heading north on Route 47 when it hit the Routes 30 and 56 bridge. Kurzawa said the truck paused briefly and then continued heading north.

“Whoever was operating the vehicle would have known they struck something,” Kurzawa said.
