Batavia man gets 12 years for sexual assault, domestic attack

BATAVIA – A 55-year-old Batavia man was sentenced last week to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a woman in 2012 and a domestic attack in 2011.

Michael L. Jett received nine years in prison for last year’s attack and three years in prison for the 2011 domestic battery. The sentences must be served consecutively.

Kane County Judge John Barsanti accepted the plea agreement last week. Jett received 286 days credit for time he spent in the Kane County Jail.
