Face Time with Marcia Parker

Streamwood resident Marcia Parker, 57, was at the Batavia Public Library when she answered eight questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? I was born in Park Ridge. We lived mainly in Palatine, but we also moved to Venezuela for two or three years.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Judi Dench

First job? Catalog sales at J.C. Penney

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A wildlife biologist. And no, I did not become that. I work in a financial planning office.

A movie you’d recommend? “English Vinglish”

Favorite charity? Sweet Beginnings

Hobbies? Beekeeping and honey. That is why I’m at the Batavia library, for a meeting of the Fox Valley Beekeepers Association.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I once shook hands with Fahey Flynn.
