BATAVIA – A Batavia resident was a big winner in the recent Illinois Lottery St. Patrick's Day raffle. Jeff White, who has lived in the city for 11 years, won $100,000, according to a news release sent by the Illinois  Lottery.

"I always play raffle," White said in the release. "I like the odds, especially now."

White bought a $20 ticket for the game at the 7-Eleven at 336 E. Wilson St., Batavia. The store receives $1,000 for selling the winning ticket. That is the same 7-Eleven at which Ancelma Martinez bought a Lotto ticket worth $7.25 million in December. The store received $72,500 for selling the winning Lotto ticket.

The St. Patrick's Day Millionaire Raffle had four $1 million prizes, five $100,000 prizes and 500 $1,000 prizes. A total of 509 winning tickets were drawn, according to the release. Visit www.illilnoislottery.com for information.
