Rally helps BC softball stay hot

The Burlington Central softball team trailed, 5-0, entering the bottom of the sixth inning of Tuesday's home game against Genoa-Kingston.

Central rallied to tie the game and went on to win, 6-5, in nine innings.

Go figure.

"I don't know what's wrong with us right now," Rockets coach Wade Maisto said, "but we're lucky to get this one, let me tell you."

Central – 10-1 and 3-0 in the Big Northern East – benefited from a late spark from Rebecca Roscher. Pinch-hitting in the sixth, she tripled home the tying run and later scored the winning run after reaching base in the ninth.
