Choking up in battle against weather

Cougars pitching coach Ron Villone delivered the following assessment about inclement midwest weather before the club departed on its seven-game road trip to Wisconsin and Beloit.

Considering the rainout and snowout that created consecutive doubleheaders against the Timber Rattlers today and Sunday, it turned out the words were evergreen.

"The weather conditions have been something to kind of deal with, you know," Villone said. "From cold to warm to windy to sunny. Whatever it may be. I think that' s just as much of a battle for them than it is what we're doing here and trying to accomplish."
