Geneva boys lacrosse starting to jell

The Geneva boys lacrosse team suffered back-to-back losses against Wheaton North and St. Charles East earlier this month, but has since rebounded to score successive blowout wins.

The latest came Monday, as the Vikings blanked host Batavia, 15-0, at Rotolo Middle School in the first IHSLA meeting between the rivals.

"We've got a lot of first- and second-year players on the team," Vikings coach Rick Nobregas said. "They're starting to learn to play together, and I think that's where that [rout] happened today."

Geneva (4-2) will look to keep its winning streak going when it travels to Lincoln-Way Central on Tuesday.
