Shoulders pond-ers casting his line

"Fish Or No Fish" once delighted Cougars fans as a popular between-innings promotion.

The gimmick hasn't been around Fifth Third Bank Ballpark for some time now, but designated hitter Rock Shoulders is doing his part to rekindle a real-life version off the field.

Bantering with teammates about ways to spend Wednesday's off day, Shoulders went to bat for the pastime of fishing. He didn't bring a pole from his native Orlando, Fla., but figured buying a new one wasn't exactly a barrier.

"I just fish a lot when I'm home," Shoulders said. "Pretty much like all I do. I either fish or practice [baseball]."
