St. Francis baseball's Jack of all trades

Jack Petrando starred on the mound and in the field for the St. Francis baseball team Wednesday.

Petrando pitched the first five innings of a 13-3, six-inning win against Montini while providing his share of offense, too.

He finished 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs. That included a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth that triggered the run rule and ended the game.

"This was his first start in awhile, and he did a good job on the mound," Spartans coach Rich Janor said. "Great all-around day for him pitching and offensively."
