Face time with Marvin Stubbe

St. Charles resident Marvin Stubbe, 55, was watching his children at Lincoln Park in St. Charles when he answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? St. Charles

Pets? A terrier-Shih Tzu mix named Serenity

Who would play you in the movie of your life? I would play myself.

First job? Dishwasher at a restaurant while I was in high school

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a rock star. I became a tradesman instead. I worked as a cabinetmaker for 20 years. Now I’m a handyman.

A movie you’d recommend? “Lincoln”

Do you play an instrument? Guitar

Favorite local restaurant? Foxfire in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I met Vincent Price. He was doing a talk at my college, Middle Tennessee State University.
