Another day, another wild win for the Kaneland softball team.
The Knights ended Saturday's 5-4 victory at Sterling by turning a 1-2-3 double play with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh.
On Friday, the Knights won, 11-4, at Plainfield North, but not before scoring eight runs in the final two innings to turn around a late deficit.
Sarah Grams smacked a pinch-hit, bases-clearing triple as part of a five-run seventh then. Grams missed much of the game due to afterschool academic testing, but still made an impact.
"Kind of drive, get out of her car, come up, wait an inning and clear the bases for us," Knights coach Brian Willis said. "Kind of fun."
