Shoulders seeks to balance home/road splits

Cougars designated hitter Rock Shoulders enters tonight's series opener against Peoria with a .412 average in 18 games at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark.

"You've got a great hitter's eye, so it's pretty good to see here," Shoulders said. "It's a great park."

Shoulders hasn't fared so well away from home, batting .190 in 16 games. He started making a road turnaround, though, homering twice and driving in six runs during the club's just-completed trip to Burlington and Clinton.
