Batavia resident David Walgenbach, 23, was sitting on a park bench at the Batavia Riverwalk when he answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Batavia

Who would play you in the movie of your life? I would play myself.

First job? A dishwasher at The Holmstad in Batavia

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A marine biologist. Now I’m looking at becoming an X-ray technician.

A movie you’d recommend? “Oblivion”

Favorite charity? Wounded Warrior Project

What TV game show would you like to be on? “Wipeout”

Favorite local restaurant? TGI Fridays in Batavia

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I was injured in Afghanistan on May 4, 2010, when I was hit by a mortar.
