Batavia School District 101 is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Batavia School Board after the resignation of school board member Kathleen Roberts.

Roberts, who has been on the board for 22 years, said she resigned because of family matters.

"I have a lot of family stuff going on," Roberts said Thursday. "I need to free up time and mental real estate."

Board members will vote June 25 on filling the vacancy. The person will fill the spot until the April 7, 2015 election.
