Funeral arrangements set for Monica Warner

NORTH AURORA – Funeral arrangements have been made for Monica Warner, 23, a North Aurora resident who died Wednesday in a car crash in Geneva.

Visitation will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Smith & Thomas Funeral Home, 5708 W. Madison St., Chicago.

The wake will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, at Tanner Trails Community Church, 2301 Tanner Road, North Aurora. The funeral will begin at noon. Interment will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside.

The crash took place at about 6 a.m. in the 200 block of Fabyan Parkway in Geneva. Warner was driving a 2002 Saturn on Wednesday morning, and she was exiting west from a driveway on the south side of the road when her vehicle was struck by a 2006 Mack garbage truck traveling east. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
