Sugar Grove police reports

• Matthew D. Kellen, 21, of the 200 block of East Webb Street, Sandwich, was arrested Tuesday, April 30, on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of speeding. He was also issued a new charge of speeding, 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.

• A man who owns a home in the 500 block of Mallard Lane, Sugar Grove, told police Thursday, May 2, that former tenants had caused about $8,000 in damage to the interior of the home, soiling the carpet, putting holes in walls, and scratching and gouging hardwood floors.

• A man, 39, and a woman, 41, of the 200 block of Maple, Sugar Grove, told police Saturday, May 4, that someone had egged their vehicle and removed a child’s baseball equipment from the trunk of another vehicle.

• Omar Farrukh, 19, of the 400 block of Raintree Drive, Oswego, was charged Thursday, May 9, with possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Urooj Singapuri, 18, of the 2700 block of Flagstone Circle, Naperville, was charged Thursday, May 9, with possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A woman, 37, of the 900 block of Merrill New Road, Sugar Grove, told police Tuesday, May 14, she had recently visited a pawn shop and located an item that had been missing from her home for about a month. She told police she was missing about $2,500 worth of other goods, as well.

• A woman, 29, of the 1100 block of Ottawa Circle, Sugar Grove, told police Tuesday, May 14, someone had made three fraudulent purchases of $65, $60 and $65 on three different retail websites using her credit information.

• A woman, 47, of the 0-100 block of Prairie Street, Sugar Grove, told police Monday, May 20, someone had burglarized her apartment, entering through a window, and taking a laptop computer, camera and a prepaid phone card. 

• Maurice Murray, 34, of the 800 block of Edgebrook, DeKalb, was charged Tuesday, May 21, with possession of 2.5 to 10 grams of marijuana and operating a vehicle with suspended registration.
