Waterline Writers group to host reading event June 16

BATAVIA – Water Street Studios will host a reading event by local writing group Waterline Writers at 7 p.m. June 16.

This month’s Waterline Writers reading event includes Donald J. Bingle, who wrote “The Tree of Enlightenment” about a son who learns the dimensions of his character while holding his father’s ladder; Kevin Burris, whose writings animate everything from love on the silver screen to fates glimpsed in an old war photo; Susan DeLay who will read an excerpt from her new novel “Without a Sound;” spoken-word poet Russ Devereaux; Katie Phillips, who shares poetry and perceptions; and memoirist Laura Young.

The free event will take place at Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water St., Batavia.
