Clubhouse gets another Bruins fan

Infielder Brad Zapenas and righty Stephen Perakslis don't quite make the Cougars' clubhouse Boston strong, but the Beantown-area natives proudly represent the Bruins contingent on the edge of Chicago anyway.

Zapenas, of Nashua, N.H., joined the club from extended spring training Tuesday and immediately took stock of where he was as the Blackhawks prepare to host the Bruins in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals Wednesday.

"So I showed up here and I'm rooting for the Bruins, and you come here and everyone's wearing Blackhawks stuff," Zapenas said.

He found an ally in Perakslis, who hails from Stoughton, Mass., about 15 miles from Boston.

"First thing I said to him when I got here was if he's been watching the games," Zapenas said.
