Face Time with Deb Homco

Sugar Grove resident Deb Homco, 32, was participating in the Sugar Grove Community Garage Sale event when she answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Al Lagattolla.

Where did you grow up? Sugar Grove

Do you have any pets? One, Frida, a German shepherd. It’s Frida, like the artist, Frida Kahlo. She’s got black eyebrows and a black beard, kind of like Frida.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Mary Louise Parker

What was your first job? I worked at RichWrap in Elburn. I worked in the factory, putting gift wrap in boxes. It’s a great job as a high schooler.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be a lawyer, maybe an actress.

Did you become that? I did become a lawyer.

Is there a movie or a book you would recommend? I like any movie by Tim Burton, especially ones starring Johnny Depp. Books? I really enjoyed Wally Lamb’s books.

What is your favorite charity? Mutual Ground in Aurora

If you could appear on any game show, what would it be? I always wanted to be on “Double Dare.” “Wipeout” would be fun, too.

What is your favorite local restaurant? Fireside, right here in town. The saganaki is excellent.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I love garage sales, the shopping end of it.
