BATAVIA – The Batavia Park District has redesigned its website, www.bataviaparks.org. The new site will go live over the weekend and will include many enhanced features designed for easier navigation and accessibility.
“We are elated to roll out an intuitive site that will serve as an extension of the district around the clock,” said Park District Executive Director Allison Niemela. “New features like live chat were added to enhance customer service by providing an interactive experience.”
Last fall, the park district contracted with Batavia-based Pure Imagination to build a streamlined site that would serve as a valuable resource for users. The new design and navigation will allow for users to find information quickly and easily.
The new site has a fresh, bright look that coincides with the district’s tagline, “Your fun is our business.” It features vibrant colors to engage users and hot buttons on the home page allow for quick access of popular items such as registration and the quarterly Fun Guide.
Other features include seasonal slide shows to promote upcoming events, a live chat available during business hours, news and events prominently featured on the home page, program information and photos, and staff photos.
In coordination with the launch, the district is sponsoring an interactive contest that allows visitors to be eligible for prizes while exploring the site. Five “Chuck the Duck” mascots are hidden throughout the site asking five different questions.
Visitors must find all five mascots and answer the corresponding questions to be entered to win a “Day at the Beach” prize pack valued at more than $100.
