Face Time with Moira Wolf

South Elgin resident Moira Wolf, 49, was shopping at the indoor garage sale at Hosanna! Lutheran Church in St. Charles when she answered eight questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Lombard

Pets? Four cats named Harley, Jaden, Bailey and Nila, and the dog, a beagle-pointer mix, is named Buddy.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Meryl Streep

First job? Feeb’s Italian Beef in Lombard

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I didn’t know what I wanted to be, but I work as a retail clerk. 

A movie you’d recommend? Any movie with Johnny Depp in it

Favorite charity? American Cancer Society

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I am a 10-year cancer survivor of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. I had a stem cell transplant, and my donor was from Germany. I have a tattoo for it. The date, Sept. 16, 2003, of my transplant, the word “hope” for someday a cure for cancer, the purple ribbon is universal for all cancers, and HPP is my donor’s initials, Heinz Peter Peters from Germany.
