GENEVA – Police are looking for the owner of a boxer-mix that was hit by an SUV about 10 p.m. Sunday, near the CVS/pharmacy on Geneva’s east side.

Police Cmdr. Eric Passarelli said the young male dog suffered injuries to his head and legs and cannot walk.

The dog was taken to a local vet where it is doing better, but will require more care, Passarelli said.

The dog is a boxer mixed with either a lab or a pit bull, brown with white on its underside and feet, about 1 to 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.

As the dog did not have a collar or microchip, Geneva police are hoping to locate the owner. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 630-232-4736.
