Kane County’s Boles elected to state judge’s association’s board

Susan Clancy Boles, a judge in the 16th Judicial Circuit, has been elected to the board of directors of the Illinois Judges Association, according to a news release issued Friday afternoon. The 16th Judicial Circuit includes Kane County.

Boles was elected at the association’s annual meeting June 7.

She has served on the Illinois Judges Association board of directors for one previous term, the release stated. There are about 50 members of the board.

Boles has been a judge for six years, and she is a member of the Kane County Bar Association. She also speaks to high school students and parents as part of the “Seven Reasons to Leave the Party” program.

Boles is assigned to the criminal felony court at the Kane County Judicial Center, which is in St. Charles Township. She was appointed as an associate judge in 2007, and she was elected as a circuit judge in 2010.
