Shoulders expected to come off DL soon

Cougars first baseman/designated hitter Rock Shoulders (ankle sprain) is likely to come off the disabled list by the end of the club's five-game series against Quad Cities, which began with Thursday's 7-4 win.

Shoulders was hurt before the Cougars began a five-game series in Wisconsin on Saturday.

"During pregame he rolled his ankle, and it just blew up on him. He couldn't even walk for about two days," manager Mark Johnson said. "He's getting better now. Probably about three more days, he's due to come off."
