St. Charles resident Lorraine Mahoney, 26, was at the butterfly house at Peck Farm Park in Geneva when she answered seven questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Chicago

Pets? A Boston terrier named Chloe

First job? Chuck E. Cheese’s

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be everything from an astronomer to a teacher. I’m an office person now. Photographer is what I want to be now.

A movie you’d recommend? “Tornado Alley” with Sean Casey

Favorite local restaurant? El Puente in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I chase storms and tornadoes. The last storm I chased was the Illinois tornadoes back on June 12, but my favorite storm was on May 18 in Roselle, Kan. I have a photo of the EF4 tornado right behind me.
