Batavia police reports

• A rear passenger side window was reported broken Wednesday, July 10, on a car parked at 1167 W. Wilson St., causing $150 in damage.

• Someone on Sunday, July 7, spray-painted a dumpster at Quarry Beach pool, 400 S. Water St., causing $500 in damage.

• A counterfeit $5 bill was presented Tuesday, July 9, at McDonald’s, 125 W. Wilson St.

• Someone put graffiti Monday, July 8, on an Ameritech box at Raddant Road and Stiers Court.

• John J. Howard, 59, of the 43W600 block of Route 30, Sugar Grove, was charged Sunday, July 7, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid license, operating a vehicle with expired license plate and operating an uninsured vehicle.

• A bicycle tire was reported slashed Sunday, July 7, in the 700 block of North Van Buren Street, causing $20 damage.

•Terrance Darnell Purnell, 32, of the 14100 block of Renegade Court, Woodbridge, Va., was charged Saturday, July 6, with battery.

• An offender living in the 800 block of Newberry Drive, Batavia, was charged Friday, July 5, with possession of fireworks.

• James J. Devine Jr., 33, of the 0-100 block of Sterling Circle, Wheaton, was charged Thursday, July 4, with driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control device.

• Joseph L. Nelle, 28, of the 500 block of Wallace Street, Marseilles, was charged Wednesday, July 3, with unlawful possession of marijuana.

• A cellphone valued at $50 was left Wednesday, July 3, at Randall 15 IMAX theatre, 550 N. Randall Road.

• Derek N. Bus, 21, of the 40W500 block of Main Street, Batavia Township, was charged Wednesday, July 3, with possession of fireworks.
