The Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival presents Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Iconic Musical Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The production will take place at the Kaneland Auditorium on the campus of Kaneland High School on Friday, July 19, Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21. The show will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for students and senior citizens and $25 for a family ticket.
A band performs at the second of four monthly Louche Puce markets on Saturday, July 13, at Water Street mall in downtown Aurora. The next market will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10.
Payton Riley Quaintance, 7, is the Kiwanis Club of Geneva's first official winner of the Geneva All American Soap Box Derby. Payton and his dad will leave for Akron, Ohio, Sunday, July 21, to compete with over 450 other boys and girls for the National Soap Box Derby Championship.
