Golden's power surge still on

GENEVA – Left fielder Reggie Golden homered for the second straight game Monday, smacking a two-run shot in the second inning to provide the Cougars' lone runs in a 5-2 loss to Lansing.

"I'm starting to see the ball a little bit better, and that's going to happen when I hit it hard," Golden said.

Golden, a second-round pick of the parent Cubs in 2010, played just seven games in Class-A last season, as a left knee strain kept him out for most of 2012.
