Face Time with Peg McKenna

Batavia resident Peg McKenna, 77, was at the Quilt and Textile Show in Batavia when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Johnson, R.I.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Ginger Rogers, so I can dance.

First job? I was a waitress at 15.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A teacher, and yes, I became that. I taught first through fourth grade at different times.

A movie you’d recommend? “The Heat”

Favorite charity? Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice

What game show would you be on? “Jeopardy” or “Wheel of Fortune”

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I saw Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy when they came through campaigning. I also had a photo taken with Arnold Palmer after he played golf with my husband.

Did he beat Palmer? At one hole
