St. Charles residents to get new recycling bins

Published: Tuesday, July 30, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

ST. CHARLES – All St. Charles residents will receive a 65-gallon container for their recyclable materials as part of a new residential recycling program offered by the city and Advanced Disposal, according to a city news release.

The containers – a cart on wheels with an attached lid – should be delivered by Oct. 1. Residents will get the bins at no additional cost.

Carts of other sizes – 35-gallon and 95-gallon carts – also are available at no additional cost.

Residents wanting one of these sizes must tell Advanced Disposal by Aug. 14 by completing the form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/stcrecycle.

No action is necessary if the 65-gallon cart is sufficient for your household. The various sizes are on display outside the public works facility at 1405 S. Seventh Ave., St. Charles.

All recyclables can be mixed together into one cart. There is no need to separate items. For information, contact Advanced Disposal’s customer service team at 630-587-8282.
