Face Time with George Scarpelli

St. Charles resident George Scarpelli, 79, was at the classic car show in Geneva when he answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Oak Park

Do you have a car here? A goldenrod yellow 1973 Ford Mustang

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Jerry Lewis

First job? I sold hot dogs at a golf course when I was 11.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A pilot. I flew some, but I became a salesman.

A movie you’d recommend? “Dive Bomber” 

Favorite charity? Salvation Army

What game show would you be on? “Jeopardy!”

Favorite local restaurant? Sorrento’s in Maple Park 

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? My sister dated Vic Damone in the 1950s. My brother-in-law is a first cousin to Carol Lawrence, who starred in “West Side Story.”
