Face Time with Michael Belica

St. Charles resident Michael Belica, 72, was at a St. Charles Cruise Night when he answered eight questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Chicago

Do you have a car here? Yes, a 1960 Jaguar Mark II in imperial maroon.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Kevin Costner

First job? Stock boy at F.W. Woolworth’s

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor. I became that in a way – I  have a Ph.D. in education. 

Do you play an instrument? Piano

Favorite local restaurant? Portillo’s in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I played tennis with Kirk Douglas in Las Vegas. We were finishing up, and we played tennis with him until we relinquished the court to him.
