'KC Scaregrounds' auditions at Steel Beam

ST. CHARLES – Auditions for the Steel Beam Theatre presentation of the "KC Scaregounds" will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the theater, 111 W. Main St., St. Charles.

Performers ages 16 and older are invited to audition. The event is a 3-D haunted house at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

It will take place in October. Cold readings will be provided. There is no need for the actors to prepare anything. Between five and 15 high school and college age actors will be assigned to a role that will be played through the entire run of the haunted house.

Costumes and makeup will be provided. Actors will be given complimentary tickets in lieu of pay. Actors will be casted for such roles as "chainsaw clowns," zombies, skeletons, mummies and mechanical dolls.
