Foster to commemorate King's 'I Have a Dream' speech

U.S. Rep. Bill Foster, D-Naperville, will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech at noon Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Aurora University quandrangle outside of Eckhart Hall at 347 Gladstone Ave., Aurora.

According to a news release from Foster, Foster’s father was a civil rights lawyer who wrote much of the enforcement language behind the Civil Rights Act of 1964, who knew Dr. King and was deeply involved in the civil rights movement.
