Aurora resident Jim Levey, 73, was at the classic car show in Geneva when he answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.
Where did you grow up? Aurora
Pets? Two cats, Ashley and Cinders, both rescues. Ashley was rescued from a vent at a preschool in North Aurora as a kitten.
Do you have a car in the show? Yes, a 1957 Buick with the license plate Lady Blu. It’s light blue and arctic white. It was my grandfather’s car; he paid $4,600 for it in 1957.
Who would play you in the movie of your life? Groucho Marx
First job? Greenskeeper at a golf course when I was 16
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A junk man. I worked at Burgess-Norton maintaining their machines for 38 years.
A book you’d recommend? “Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Changed America Forever” by Bill O’Reilly
Favorite charity? Any animal rescue leagues
What game show would you be on? “Jeopardy!”
Favorite local restaurant? Little Owl in Geneva
What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I am a turtle rescuer. If I see a turtle on the side of the road, I stop and rescue it so it doesn’t get hit.
