Friday night storms with high winds swept through Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles, causing sporadic power outages in all three cities, officials said.
In Geneva, power outages were spread throughout the city, spokesman Kevin Stahr said, from areas including the Eagle Brook subdivision, West State Street east of Kaneville Road and other areas.
A power line on Route 31 by Wheeler park was also reported to be down and sparking about 6:30 p.m.
Batavia officials said electric customers on the city's east side of fox river are without power and electric crews have been dispatched to fix the problem.
St. Charles police reported power outages spread throughout the city.
