Face Time with Gene Feldott

Sugar Grove Township resident Gene Feldott, 65, was selling corn at his nephew’s farm when he answered eight questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Where Fermilab is now

First job? Baling hay

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A rock star. I became a mechanic, and now I’m a farmer.

A movie you’d recommend? “Blazing Saddles”

Favorite charity? Aurora Food Pantry

What game show would you be on? “Wheel of Fortune”

Favorite local restaurant? Fireside Grille in Sugar Grove

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? My ancestors settled in the area that is now Fermilab in 1854. They took it by eminent domain, and we moved here in 1969.
