Face Time with Rick Weals

St. Charles resident Rick Weals, 56, was jamming on his guitar at the Fox Valley Folk Music Festival in Geneva when he answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Arlington, Ohio

Pets? Three cats named Ellie, Jake and Maggie, and two mutts, Lily and Roscoe

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Bob Dylan

First job? Dishwasher at a retirement home

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A musician. I became that, but I’m also a salesman.

Favorite charity? Suicide Prevention Services in Batavia

What game show would you be on? “Jeopardy!”

Favorite local restaurant? Claddagh Irish Pub in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? My cousin Mandy Weals was engaged to Kenny Chesney and she broke up with him. She did not want to live that life.
