Face Time with Lynn Slattery

Milwaukee resident Lynn Slattery, 58, was at the Fox Valley Folk Music Festival in Geneva when she answered eight questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Elmwood Park

First job? Baby-sitting

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A teacher, and I became a teacher. I teach library science.

Favorite charity? I volunteer at a clothes closet for kids.

What game show would you be on? “Family Feud”

Favorite local restaurant? Little Owl in Geneva

How do you like the festival? We’ve been coming for the last eight years. We have family in St. Charles, but they go to Wisconsin for the Labor Day weekend and we come here.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? We were the theme family for the March of Dimes in Milwaukee when my son was 5. He has cerebral palsy.
