Face Time with Sue Novy

Batavia resident Sue Novy, 61, was at the Batavia Block Party when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Northwest side of Chicago

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Meryl Streep

First job? Baby-sitting

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A nurse. I became a nursing home administrator, so I balanced it.

A book you’d recommend? “Winter of the World: Book Two of the Century Trilogy” by Ken Follett

Favorite charity? American Cancer Society Relay for Life. I’m a breast cancer survivor, seven years in November.

What game show would you be on? “Wheel of Fortune”

Favorite local restaurant? Daddio’s Diner in Batavia

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I met Don Kessinger, shortstop for the Chicago Cubs. I was president of the Don Kessinger Fan Club in the late 1960s and 1970s.
