CAMPTON TOWNSHIP – Campton Township’s seventh annual Prairie Fest is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday – rain or shine – at historic Corron Farm, 7N761 Corron Road, Campton Township.

Parking, admission and refreshments are free.

The event will feature hay wagon tours of the prairie and oak savanna; tours of the 1850s brick Greek Revival home built by Robert C. Corron; and a children’s corner of scavenger hunts and games.

The Corron Farm Preservation Society will hold a 50/50 raffle to raise money for the rehabilitation of the 1870s-era dairy barn.

This year, the society has an anonymous donor who will match 20 percent of other donations up to $1,000.

The society also will ask festival guests to complete a survey on the fate of the dairy barn.

Options include restoring the entire structure, restoring only the oldest part of the structure and dismantling the structure entirely.
