Letter: The gun act
To the Editor:
The government of the United States of America has passed laws that were originally given to the American people without question from our Founding Fathers of this country – the right to bear arms.
The state of Illinois was the last state to legalize the right for citizens to carry a gun with them at most any place. The government of the United States has strayed away from the important document that our Founding Fathers wrote for this country and for the rights of all citizens.
The evolution of the government and its thoughts have dramatically changed this country in a highly negative direction. The government that once cared for America and its people is now in a very peculiar and questionable state.
The government has strayed from the path of liberty, but America and its people who still proudly raise its flag have not.
